Sonos

Sonos - Digital Music System

Country of Origin: USA (California)

Designer:

If you're curious how our show systems are playing simultaneously and with great ease, say hello to Sonos. Our music library is stored on a network hard-drive and is streamed wirelessly to each system by way of a dedicated mesh network called SonosNet. This technology allows us to stream our music without fear of interference or loss of musical accuracy. We control the shows music with a touch screen Sonos remote or we can break out our iPhone or iPod Touch and use a Sonos App that controls the system as well. Each of our audio systems is linked by a Sonos Zone player that allows us to play music in a "party mode" at any controlled volume. It's the best way to experience your digital music collection.

Why talk cables? Well, for starters they're absolutely essential to any system. USB, HDMI, digital, analog, speaker & power cables. A quote from Joel Scilley - "As far as woodworking is concerned, I'm particularly interested in burlwood and other uncommon woods. You won't find much veneer here, nor will you see anything you've seen elsewhere. I'm building things that sound great, that work well, and that enhance musical experiences with their absolutely unique character."

Davone

Davone - Rithm Loudspeaker

Country of Origin: Denmark

Designer: Paul Schenkel

www.davoneaudio.com

From Denmark comes one of the most beautiful loudspeakers in the world, and the poster child for the Austin Art n Music Exposition. The RITHM is luxurious in both form and function. It's sweeping curves of walnut-ply (harvested from sustainable forests) serve to make an elegant statement in aesthetics as well as to create an ideal internal acoustic environment for the loudspeaker. The result is an attractively demur piece of designer furniture that also happens to be musically accomplished. The best of both worlds.

A quote from designer Paul Schenkel. "I have been building speakers all my life, just like many people in the audio industry. With my interest in classic design I have never understood (and I still donʼt) that there are no loudspeaker manufacturers that try something new with the cabinet shape and yet keep it stylish, non technical, like the famous furniture design classics."

Austin Art n Music Expo 2009

Audio Zeal and Aviary welcome you to the Austin Art n Music Exposition Blog. For years, the home audio system has been an indispensable yet utilitarian addition to any music owner's living room. All to often we marvel at a system's sonic accuracy but cringe at its mundane appearance. Unbeknown to many design savvy, music enthusiasts is an industry full of creative designers who merge musical fidelity with aesthetic appeal. Forget about cumbersome black speakers and components, we are giving those who buck the conventional image of audio equipment an outlet to showcase their artist talent. On Thursday, October 22nd, from 6:00 to 10:00 PM we invite you stop stop by the Aviary store (2110 S Lamar) for our Designer Showcase. Several product designers from the audio and furniture industry will be on hand to display and talk about their work. Enjoy an evening of free refreshments, fantastic door-prizes, and of course great music complements of our featured systems.

If you can't make it to our Thursday night party, or you'd like a private audition with one of our music systems, you're still in luck. We will continue to display our systems through the weekend of October 25th. Visit Aviary during normal business hours, and we can accommodate a listening session in any number of configurations. Whether you're into iPods or Vinyl, bring your music and please keep your eyes open. We want you to experience the sights and sounds of the music.
